1. What this product is

LaunchTape is a promotional market simulation. Tickers, prices, charts, indices, momentum and market events are fictional platform indicators generated as described on the methodology page.

2. What you are not buying

A payment on LaunchTape purchases promotional momentum on this platform and nothing else. It is not, and does not represent, equity, shares, securities, tokens, debt, a fund interest, an option, ownership, profit rights, dividends, revenue share, or any expectation of financial return. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any financial instrument, and nothing here is investment, financial, tax or legal advice.

3. What a momentum purchase does

A confirmed purchase adds momentum units to the selected listing. Those units raise the listing's fictional price and its visibility on market surfaces, and they decay with a 72 hour half life. Projected prices and moves shown before payment are estimates computed from the market state at that moment; concurrent activity can change the outcome, and no specific price, rank, placement, reach, traffic or result is promised.

4. Listings

Listings may be created by the operator from public information or submitted by visitors. A listing does not imply that the company endorses, sponsors, participates in or is affiliated with Startup Exchange. Listings marked UNCLAIMED have no verified representative.

5. Paying for a listing you do not own

Anyone may purchase promotional momentum for any listing. A purchase creates a provisional claim but never transfers control. Editing a profile requires verified ownership, and an unverified provisional claim lapses after 7 days. Momentum already purchased remains applied when a claim lapses.

6. Verification

Ownership is verified by an email address on the listing's own domain, or by manual review at the operator's discretion. Verification governs profile editing only. The operator may reject, revoke or reassign a claim where there is evidence of misrepresentation.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

submit listings for content that is illegal, or for organisations you are impersonating;
manipulate attention metrics through automation, scripted traffic, or coordinated fake engagement;
present LaunchTape prices or indices as valuations, funding, traction or investment performance;
scrape or reuse the market data in a way that implies it is financial market data.

The operator may remove listings, withhold momentum, refund payments or block access for breach of these terms.

8. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Momentum is applied only after Stripe confirms the payment. Prices are shown inclusive of the stated currency; taxes may be added at checkout where applicable. See the refund policy.

9. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, without warranty of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Market model parameters, package pricing and display rules may change; material changes to the pricing model will be reflected on the methodology page.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business or lost goodwill arising from use of this service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
